My car has been through a lot of phases, but yes, I have decent seats now for racing. Now I have ricarro seats
more goodies have arrived, the UCA have to be made still but should be arriving shortly. The LCA are here. It's a very heavy piece. It looks pretty sturdy though.
They look really good, about the same as my Global West arms. Did you get the tubular strut rods also?
you mean these bad boys? they are gorgeous but not something I can afford right now. I really want them though, maybe if I can pick up more shifts at work before the race I'll get them we'll see.
they are going for about $470 https://www.cachassisworks.com/p-1884-mustang-68-73-fordmercury-68-77-strut-rods-19-1516.aspx
Understand about the cost. If you don't replace the strut rods at least make sure your bushings are good, or you may want to replace them with something like these. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-20865666099910_2222_63964284 These are what mine lower control arms look like; http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-20865666099910_2222_90243843 And the tubular strut rods although maybe not quick as nice as the CW but don't cost as much either...............but my car is drag race car, not a road and track car....................keep up the good work. Did you ever fix the issue with the shock/coil overs?
I built my own with a 3/4" heim joint on the front part....Had to make a bracket and weld it in at the big hole where the original bushing bolted up
I really like your design with the nuts at both ends of the rod, left/right handed threads..................should make for real easy adjustment. Great Job!
I just ordered a set from rosehill mustang, I couldnt beat the price at $250.00 and it looks just like the ones that TCP use to make before they went too the new design that Mo posted. http://www.rosehillperformanceparts.com/Products_Page.htm#Adjustable Strut Rods
I agree that price is a consideration but customer service is the most important to me. When I bought my Global West lower arms and strut rods, I insalled them and found out that I had no adjustmentm, or very little. I called Global West and three days later had a brand new set that was shorter and they were powder coated.................and didn't spend a dime out of my pocket. That's what I call customer service.
I have dealt with rosehill for a few things and they have been great to deal with. Everyone on here that has had any dealings with them always give them
I spoke to Mike at Bullet Fabrications about completing my cage.... white my seats the arm bar is sitting below the elbows so it's not really giving me the protection I need. So he is gonna raise that up, use a clevis so I can swing it to get in and out of the car. He will also complete the cage. He said I need the windows removed, the bars will come straight down through the dash (I have to make the cuts myself) and a dash bar is going straight across. I will have to have the seats out, the carpet out and the dash needs to be able to come out pretty easily. His guy will show up to remove the window for me so I should be able to drive it there with one seat bolted in place.
