I assume that you're talking about an engine to trans seperator plate? If so.. no, I don't think so.. not if both were designed for 6 bolt style smallblocks. IIRC, same bolt pattern with a long and short nosed starter option.

but.. my "not positive" disclaimer is based on far too many recent years of monkeying around with everything.. other than Fords. lol

I would call a company that specializes in trans parts/scattershields. They will be able to tell you any differences without question.

PS. even if you weren't talking about block to trans seperator plates.. motor plates should be similar in that they are designed for a particular blocks bell flange.. rather than the trans used. Hope that helps

I have 2 transmissions. both c4 the one from a 1975 ford Maverick has a different starter position than the motor plates I have. the holes in the bellhousing for the starter do not match up with the holes in the motor plate. what gives?

because one is for a 157 tooth flywheel and the other is for a 164 tooth flywheel. Seperator plate has to match the flywheel you are using.

I need the engine plate, not the flexplate. is this available in a parts store?
