maybe someone on here can help a fellow maverick guy out. i turned my motor over for the first time and when i let go of the key its still turning over by itself which i have no clue why i have a brand new starter solenoid im thinking maybe something in the ignition? not really sure my second problem is every time i go to hook up the battery it spark meaning that something is on in the car or a shorted wire, the last time i connected my battery i had no power to my car at all not even the interior lights will come on or dash lights i have no clue what it is maybe a shorted wire? if anyone can help me figure this out it will seriously make my day thanks guys

My first guess is the starter solenoid has stuck.
