My champion radiator required elongating the mounting holes in the radiator in order to raise it up because the lower hose fitting was hitting the crossmember.
I thought maybe they did but i wasn't sure. Most of the mavericks i have seen racing at a local track all use the Champions and some of them are running high end motors! Guess the extra $200.00 may be out of the budget.
If you're asking me Tanners, it was far more easy to file the aluminum rad holes a little than weld and redrill the car rad support.
Another option.. Get some 1/2 or 3/4 flat strip from Home Depot. Mount that from side to side and drill into that.. Mount the strips using the existing hardware pushed away.
when working on old cars sometimes a die grinder is my best friend so is backyard engineering measure with tape mark it with chalk cut it with torch nothing ever seems to fit like it should nowadays especially when i buy it
I have the Champ 3 row #CC339 and it fit the core support w/o any issues. As everyone has stated, the Xmem needed to be notched. The only problem I had was the stock fan shroud was not a direct bolt; that was not critical cuz I was going to elec fan setup. I bought the unit April 2010 and it has worked just fine.
