Ok so I've been searching for about an hour because I like to try to find information on here myself before I ask a question. BUT I can't find the best way to redye/repaint the plastic parts in my interior. They are black and as of now I want to keep them that way. However they are faded and scratched up and this just isn't acceptable. So if someone could point me in the right direction toward a thread about it or explain it on here I would appreciate it. Maybe someone with experience could write up a thread step by step and have it stickied? THANKS in advance.

I used SEM color coat from my paint supplier.

I've heard of using the vinyl paint. Does it do a good enough job? I suppose since im going black on top of black it wouldnt take much and wouldnt be as noticeable if it rubbed through a little. I've started my interior rebuild and as per always doing hours upon hours of research before I start anything :bsod:

The SEM stuff is good, just clean good it will last a long time.

I cleaned mine with rubbing alcohol first, then sprayed it, now if you can use your fingernail and scratch the panels leaving a gouge or mark you will need to do something else, the SEM won't stay on the powdery surface, well it will but the surface turns loose underneath it.

Any idea on a general price for just getting some new/better condition ones? Because I did notice that I can scratch it with my fingernail and it leaves a powdery resedue under my nail...:(

Post to the wanted section in the classifieds, I have some rear panels but they have the slot for the seatbelts in them, not sure of the year.

The ones with the slot for the seatbelt are probably 72-73. Mine have the retractable seatbelts but before I buy any I want to decide on what I'm doing with the back seat. I'm thinking of going with a custom seat. I've seen the rear seat out of an eagle talon put in a maverick and it looks pretty good. I'm just nervous about taking on TOO big of a project right now because I'm also building a 65 ford f100 and need to evenly distribute the work.
