it will not just bolt in. you would have to cut all the brackets for the mustang 4 link suspension off and weld on the leaf spring brackets correctly for the mavericks leaf springs. then those diffs are 4 lug. there 4 lug pattern is different than the 4 lug used on some mavericks, so you would need to get different wheels or change the 8.8 axles out for 5 lug. also the mustang diff is almost 4 inches wider.

it would work fine with late model offset wheels

You might have better luck with a explorer rear end. Some come with disc brakes and they are 5 lug.

my rear end is coming out of a 96 expedition for the 5 lug disc break set up but I dont have pics as its not in yet Im taking mine to the shop to be sure its done right when Im done paying them. its going to cost $1250 total to be shortened to the width that I need and all brackets in place with a full spool and 31 spline axles

I thought that was a really good price for me not to have to try and figure this out on my own :rant2::mad::dizzy:

Not to mention they all had 31 spline axles(vs the Stang's weaker 28's) and many had traction loc difs too. :D
