So. What needs to be done?

    Is there a crossmember available?

I have the cnc pedal setup/master ready to rock.

I plan on buying a 3550 with clutch flywheel bellhousing and shifter.

Does anyone have a link to the tunnel mods needed? I have a 70 Mav, they have a smaller tunnel right? :hmmm:

Actually one question still remains, is the tunnel on the 69.5-70 mav's smaller than the 71+?

I have a 3550 in my car. I had the input shaft turned down so I could run the older belhousing and mechanical linkage. It simplified the installation but sacrificed the inherent advantages of a cable/hydraulic setup. The early tunnel is smaller. The top portion of the crossmember brace had to be removed. I welded an 1/8 in. plate across the top to maintain some strength. Also fabbed a crossmember for the trans mount, it is moved back about an inch from stock. I'm guessing yours will be two inches with the later bellhousing.

I think this one would come setup mostly.

So looks like franks AOD crossmember and the rosehill performance slave parts and my same ole driveshaft is the ticket.

If you are a fabricator you can easily fabricate a crossmember, I used franks because I already had it. You do have to clearence it a good amount if you buy an AOD crossmsmber from him because it has problems clearing the back housing of the transmission containing the overdrive gear. When all is said and done it came out really good and franks crossmember is top quality, If I were going to do it again I would buy one of the crossmembers from him that he sold dissasembled for the T5 transmissions and line it up so I didnt have to clearence it.

I actually flopped on the TKO when I took some measurments and decided it was not worth messing with the tunnel. My motor is probably nowhere near 300 wheel horsepower, and I have 225 street tires. I think a T-5 (used) will last for long enough to buy a T-5Z.
