Friday afternoon I was leaving school to head home when i got rear ended leaving the parking lot. My bumper is pretty messed up and the panel with the rear lights has a good amount of dents. I hope the guy that hit me has good insurance haha.
Post some pics if you get a chance. Looking at your images, it might be a good time to replace the end caps and mount a small bumper correctly. Shouldn't be too hard to get another rear panel, but there is always the Shelby taillamp option using a steel C/S rear panel for a Mustang. There is a how-to here on the forum. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=60517&highlight=california+special
That's not that bad. A good body shop should be able to pull that back out. I still think it would be a good time to get a lower valance and early end caps to install a small bumper correctly. Might be a headache with the insurance company though. If you're lucky you'll get a nice check and not be tied to a body shop that the insurance company works with. I've seen the parts you need on ebay and I'm sure Craig can help out with selling you the parts you need.
Just think....if you would have kept the big bumpers....it would not have been that bad of an accident. Those big bumpers are good for daily drivers.
I'd like to know how your tag made it through that! I'm also sorry that you got whacked! That damage should be fairly easy to fix.
Sorry to see you got hit. Hope it works out. By the way, what is that white stuff on the ground? Looks like white sand. Jim
