Distributor springs

    Does anybody know where I can get distributor spring for a 250. This is a new distributor but the spring are weak and I can't get the timing set right.
    I have been fighting this for over a year. Since I rebuilt my engine.

    Most people are going with lighter springs to bring the timing in faster. You can use just about any make/model springs. They all use the same style spring in V8's or 6 cyl. You just need to find the size your looking for

    Man I saw this and thought is was a city down the road from Radiator Springs from the Cars movie, sorry, going back to my hole now.:D

    yep.. this man^.. knows his distributors. When recurving them.. a lighter/medium one mixed with a very heavy one(which acts like a limiter) that doesn't engage/start stretching until the lighter one reaches around mid-stretch works well on stock motors. You can also bend the tabs for slight adjsustments too. :)
