(wow cant believe I missed this thread earlier)
I can tell you that one from experience, it is due to the bend in the pedal that the mavericks have, the mustangs have a straight clutch pedal.

here is mine so you can understand what I mean, see how the pedal crosses over the original pivot point

Great picture Mark - thank you!

So do you think this style pictured below will bolt in, with the pivot mounted to the right side of the Maverick pedal? Or would more fabrication and spacers be needed to get the angle right?

you know looking at the picture I posted and the one you posted the only thing I can think of that might cause a problem is the cover that fits around the steering column might cause a conflict with it. Otherwise it looks like it will work pretty good.

On my car that "cover" is the collapsable section of the steering column.

Awesome, its fun being the guinea pig at times.. gives you a chance to be creative, the good lord knows I have had to do it a time or two:biglaugh:

Thats interesting, mine is actually a seperate peice from the steering column, when I cut my column off for my borgeson i just slid it off the column there is a rubber seal around it too keep the noise out of the passenger compartment.
But that being the case there is apparently 3 different configurations on how the steering column seals to the firewall, my setup obviously. Then flynbrds car doesnt have that cover at all and then your setup.

Here is a better pic of the cover surrounding my column you can see how it seals up and bolts too the column.

and here is what flynbrds car looks like, he has also installed a borgeson box in his car..wonder if he has his car up and running yet.
