Does anyone who runs a remote engine oil filter have any photos of theirs installed? I'm trying to decide the best place to mount it and looking for examples.

Don't have one but where ever you mount it be sure not to use 90* fittings...it will cut down on your oil pressure when the oil dead heads into the fitting. use 2 45's or a long sweep 90.

A small block, but the headers require the oil filter to be moved.

How much of a mess does that make during an oil change?

Sorry to hijack the thread but...

Streamlier, where did you get the shock tower braces. I'm looking to do an EFI setup and need to find some braces that will work. Your's look like they might.

I had duals mounted in the same location,....as for mess, I would take a plastic bag and slip under the filters when removing them, never made much mess at all.

OK, gotta ask, what brand headers require you to relocate the filter in a small block Maverick ?

I have only had to relocate a filter once, i put a 5.0 in a 1983 Ford Ranger, the steering gear box was in the way so the filter needed to be relocated.

For what it's worth here are a few pictures of my remote.
Sorry for the mess, but I'm redoing the wiring for the pre-oiler.
