I have 1975 Mercury Comet. The Comet tank is rare to find so I read that I can use a 1976 Ford Maverick Tank. So I have the Maverick tank but I need a sending unit for the tank and also the fuel vapor valve.

On one of the forums I read, it said i can use a 1976 mustang 2 sending unit.
but since i have a 1975 Mercury Comet, i was wondering if i can still use the 1976 mustang 2 sending unit for my Comet? since i can use the ford maverick tank.

if this is a dumb question im sorry hahaha

The sending unit is the same ohm use on a lot of Fords, 73 Ohms empty, 8-12 Ohms full. Only difference is the float's arm bend and outlet direction. Same year Maverick/Comet uses the same sending unit
