8" rear end diff posi or ?

    we,ll i have an 8" center diff and my question is how do you tell if its a posi unit or an open unit?? any help would be greatful thanx...mike

    bolts for the ring gear will be "sunk" instead of on top of the carrier on oem trac/loc

    i new that was like that on a 9" but wasnt sure about an 8"....thanx!!!
