I had help pulling the 351/Powerglide out, but put it in by myself........can't say I didn't turn the air "blue" more than once.............but got it in without making any dents or scratches........................just blood and sweat.
As for age..............I've got 13 years on Baddad..........and look better than both of you:rofl2:

The braces are MPG's and made for a Falcon, but they fit the Maverick perfectly. http://www.mpgheads.com/export_brace.php
I could give you dimensions.............but don't have templates.

Really it should have a support............like the original Mustang Export braces, the support was like a L (angle iron) welded to the underneath of the lip at the firewall.................on the brace goes on top............but it fit best this way and I could have welded a brace ontop............just have never gotten around to it.

:hmmm:...doesn't look..."put in" to me or is that as far as it goes...of course I don't have any dealings with..."big wheel motor stands"...it may be..."put in"...:yup:

Well......................didn't want to bore people with a lot of pictures of the motor in place....................since once motor kind of looks like another installed............................unless it's a Chevy ofcourse.
Just for you Frank...............the first picture is just after I bolted it in place, the second is when I put the 114amp alternator on and the last picture it is ready to hit the strip.....................well almost:)
