    Hello,

Any recomendations on a quality starter solenoid replacement that is fender mounted with 4 terminals.

Anybody ever used the Napa Eichlin brand?

    Thanks for the suggections.

Aren't they all pretty much the same? You can get them at NAPA, AutoZone, O'Reilly, etc.

They will wear out over the years as the plastic bodies go through several heat/cool cycles, and crack. Then time for a new one.

I think my last one was $12???

Napa is usually pretty for quality parts.

The cheap ones use aluminum or tin instead of copper guts and steel nuts instead of brass

Look at rock auto parts. You can tell by how cheap they are by price an how they look. Napa brand is very good.

I kinda figured that, as well.

I just had to buy a PCV valve for my truck, and they had them for about $29. AZ and O'Reilly had it for $12 and $15.

I paid the $29 because only Napa had it in stock, and the other guys had to order it, and I needed it ASAP as it was contributing to the failure of my IAT sensor, causing the rough idle.

NAPA is usually higher than most other auto parts stores. So is Carquest. Try Advance. We sell them every day there.

Good advice. I had one go out on my trip to Ky this past summer. Fortunately, I had an extra in the trunk.
