I'm about to install the clutch linkage in my car but I'm not sure I have all of the correct pieces. Can anyone post pictures of the correct pieces that go from the pedal to the z-bar and from the z-bar to the fork? Length of each piece could help too. Thanks a million!

The weird part about that diagram is that the part number for the upper and lower linkage are the same and some of the parts from 8 cyl to 6 cyl are also the same number and clearly not the same part unless I don't know how to read. Hopefully somebody will have pics of the pieces. Thanks for the quick reply!

Same number because it’s showing the base part number. You need the prefix and suffix letters and numbers to go with the base number

I actually used an I6 z-bar and linkages when I did my toploader conversion w/ a 302. Worked like a champ. I can get pics of those parts for you if you like, but not until Monday.

I've got an 8 cyl z-bar. I also have some upper and lower links. I'm just not sure they're the right ones. I would think the upper links could be the same from 6 to 8 cyl because the pedals are the same.

I used the I6 piece from the pedal, and made an adjustable rod to the clutch fork. its pretty easy to make the lower rod. also, if I can find the part no. at the shop tomorrow, there's a pair of $10 federal mogul bearings that work for rollerizing the original z bar pivot. the change is extremely noticable if you run a stiffer than stock clutch.

That would be great. I do think the one from the Pedal is the same. I installed it tonight. I don't think I have the correct one for the clutch fork though. Mine doesn't have any adjustment and it looks too short. Not sure though, couldn't get the middle z-bar bolt started by myself.

the lower rod isn't mounted in these pictures, but it's adjustable. i used the 69/70 mustang rod - fits perfect.

the bearing is a national wheel end components part no. 100-cc4. its a federal mogul/moog company. you have to massage the z bar and the pivots a little with some plumbers tape or emery cloth so everything fits. I totally forgot about the mustang lower bar being the same. I figured that out about 2 weeks after I finished the swap in my car.

Just noticed you said 69/70 mustang. For some reason I thought you said early mustang.
