(for future requests and it's a good reference site in general for those who might consider EFI conversion)

"The question always come up: why fuel injection, and why Ford’s fuel injection?
But most answers start debates and holy wars, so lets look at a realistic factual answer. Performance: The stock 5.0L engine produced 250HP/300ft/lbs, and still passed emission testing. Cost: Ford EFI systems can be had at 1/3 the cost of aftermarket EFI systems. Peace of mind: not many fathers buy undependable cars for their daughters, so why should you drive one? Many people claim they can rebuild a carb on the side of the road. Current EFI engines can run 100,000 miles before needing a tune ups. Technology: Ford is leading other manufacturers in EFI technology development; they have spent millions of dollars making sure this was the ideal system. No other system in its class has its capabilities. It can operate upside-down, even if your oil pump can’t. It will never suffer from vapor lock. Hundreds of aftermarket venders have products available for Ford’s EFI, and your closest parts stores have parts and support in stock. Understand I didn’t say it’s the best in the world, but it can be proven better than most."

Looked much of it over and is quite good.
However there are some areas that the author is not up on and may be somewhat old material now.
The Part about upgrading mods at the blower section says that a blower cannot be used on speed density.
    Sorry, not true now.
I'm living proof. It was done as far back as 1987 on speed density.
I liked the part on aftermarket cold air etc. not living up to mfg power claims.
Tis true. I am after the people on the F150 boards all the time about it. For $250 +/- they claim 15+ hp. Can't happen unless there was somthing wrong to begin with but they still spend their money on such nonsense as the trucks are already fitted with an engineered system.
The 4.6 L engine is only 281 cu/in. with a big conical filter stock and they think there is a benifit to a K/N and other hardware. They forget that the throttle body controls all air intake under WOT and the filter has more than enough flow capacty to feed this small engine.
    Blown enough air for now.

pretty decent site, but I didn't seem to see any actual how to instructions on installation, etc, that was a little disappointing. You'd think that he would have shown a general walk through on an older ford.

This is just my opinion now but I think the best thing to do is just buy a stock 302 w/EFI setup already in place it'd probably be cheaper then buying the parts to try and convert an old motor this is what i'd do cause 302's are fairly cheap around here esp in the Ford Recycling Yards. Only thing that'd be difficult but not impossible for me would be changing the fuel delivery setup (tank, pump, adding return line, etc).

I agree, and the newer roller engines are so much better (stock for stock). It makes much more sense to start off with an efi powered 225 horse roller, than convert an early 141 horse 302.
