Hi folks, my name is David and I am from Vancouver BC CANADA, I been into Fords for over 33 years, having started with early Mustangs and finally purchasing my first Comet back in 1985. It was a 1974 Comet 2 door, 302 auto, PS, Manual Front Disc Brakes, w/Luxury Decor Option(LDO) and factory reclining High Back Buckets. The car was basically "Shelbized" from my days with working on Mustangs, many parts had to be custom modified and/or fabricated to fit as back in those days, all the goodies available now just weren't around for Mav/Comets. All those years of daily driving in rain, snow, salt finally took its toll and I was thinking about restoring, even purchased a donor 1974 Maverick twin in hopes of swapping over all the rust free parts. But unlike in the good ol'USA, bodyshop work, along with speed parts are very expensive in Canada. So my Comet was parted and scrapped.......good news is I just purchased a 73 Comet 2 door, 302 auto, PS, factory AC with original paint and interior, totally rust free from Nevada with only 65,000 miles. Only thing missing are the shoulder belt harnesses, which I am trying to locate, so if anyone out there has them..........also, if anyone is interested in my 74 Maverick .........cheers!
