while we're picking it apart.. I would have to fully agree.

I've often thought that a SLIGHTLY more aggressive sizing(maybe "pronounced" would be a better word.. for both scoops would look killer.. but it seems as though they don't taper down enough to transition/flow into the rear section correctly. Just too bulged out at the back for my taste.

And to make matters worse.. the stripes leading outwards from them are way to small and would likely look at least a little bit better if they were the same exact width as the openings themselves.

Then as I said before.. those poorly implemented side stripes just add insult to injury for the price range. I think most of the bits and pieces are there.. but it's more like a 10-12k car from what I can see there. Even if it were a built V8.. I think 16-18k would be seriously pushing it.

well i do know just the head and manifold was over 1k easy. what you saw in the original post is what i did to the car. the only really left that i did to it is the seats carpet and the whole brake set up and suspension on it. other then that all the other stuff is what he did to it. put it this way what i sold it for him for you guys would jump on it and it would be GONE like that! lol! i just needed to sell the car for new GM projects. doh! lol!

the hood was his idea and he took it to someone to do that to it. i do know if the car had bigger wheels and tires on it, it would probably flow better.

where ever he got the cam i think. if you want me to ask i can.

that i my doing! ;) i found all the original material that ford used and bought all of it lol! the guy has the extra roll of it too. stuff cost more then two mavericks lol!

this was done my some dash place i can't remember the name but i think i cost him about 1k for it. lol! but this was one something that i like the most about it. in fact if someone can get me a dash i can actually make something like this for you guys. probably is i don't know how to take my dash apart nor do i want to for test fitment. lol!!!!

l do too. i told him just to leave it because of the condition it was in. it was all original paint and motor that didn't leak or burn any oil. but it wasn't my car anymore and you can't tell someone what to do when it isn't your car. lol!

i told him... wow that much? but hey there is a butt for every seat right? personally i don't think he will get that much for it.

22k ??! That car looks hideous, with the atrocious green interior and the huge bumpers. It's amazing what some people think their stuff is worth.

Hey maverickman does it have to be a perfect dash? Or would one with a few cracks be ok?

Or... do you need the ENTIRE dash and not just the dash pad...

    Yep that is the place!

Not perfect. Cracks ok. but not warped. Only need the dash pad. ;) thought the whole dash would be nice to test fit on since I really don't want to pull part mine just for a test fit lol! And someone needs to tell me if all pads are the same for all years. Because we I know not all dashes are the same.

I hope they are all the same. I'm getting ready to put a 75 dash pad on my 70.

They are all the same. You'd better start saving if you want to have them do that to your dash pad, $700+ to just redo a stock dash pad....

I'll keep my eye out while I'm looking for new doors.

I am really into that look.

I'll bet you could make one yourself for $100 the same way they make fiberglass speaker enclosures. Take an old dash pad, mount 3 round bases at the right angle to house the gauges and stretch fabric over it. Glass resin, a bunch of sanding and filler. Spray it with a semi-flat paint.

yes his was over 1k for sure.

i could do it in carbon fiber which would look killer on a pro tour, retosmod or race car. but also could in PrePreg fiberglass in black.... could make that. maybe get it under $400 or so. i wouldn't do it for anyless. i would autoclave this part. hand laid would be so off in production i wouldn't even bother. but even my way it would still need to be painted your color and it wouldn't really be a "pad" since it would be fiberglass.
