yes, I'm sure we may have talked a time or two before? I did a mini meet there twice. my 77 won its class there when ever we showed, along with club choice award the 1st year we went. I sold the 77 and havent been back since. the club choice award meant more to me than about any of the other trophys we ever won.

kinda funny,.... wonder how just many other Boss 9 mavericks there will be in Iowa . mine is getting pretty close, now if I could just find some slave labor to grind and prep.:D (I hate that part)

Picked this up the other day in Crawfordsville. 1970 4bbl closed chamber. Only has 25,000 miles on it. Friend sold me his tunnel ram. Had the pulley setup from my racecars, and have had the valve covers forever.

What headers fit a Cleveland in a Maverick with shock towers moved out 3" or so? How about the Hooker swap headers for a 64-66 Stang. Don't want to go the Tubular Automotive route. Ideas? Not past building my own if I need to.

Oh that is SWEET! My dream for my maverick is a Cleveland with a lenco street trans and a m2 front suspension.

    Very nice :thumbs2:

That's a tough one. I used Tubulars with my 351C when the chassis was stock. I now use a set of Hookers built for a 73 Mustang but with a Mustang II front suspension. They still don't really fit as I've had to notch the right side frame rail and the passenger floor board. :)

I am wanting something that will work within the stock frame rail and not hit the floor. Have found some mention of the Hooker 64-66 Mustang swap headers and interested if anyone uses them? Also have to fit my 4bbl heads.

    Thanks,

They would definitely have to be some sort of a swap header then other than Tubular Automotive. I know some other brands built similar headers in the past. If I come up with any info. I will be glad to pass it on to you :tiphat:

Why not just use Tubular Automotive headers?

I've read a lot of people that weren't satisfied with their fit. Hitting the block, not clearing steering, etc. Don't really want to pay that kind of money for someting with a so-so reputation. If I'm going to make it fit, I want to pay less going in.

Good thinking - my rear two Tubular pipes, that had to crisscross under the pan and go into the opposite collectors, hit dead into the side of the block - I never did finish that install with the stock engine bay - got real discouraged after the headers failed and gave up
