I've got a 72 Comet with it's original gas tank.

Debris from the tank is clogging the fuel filter.

Can anyone share tanks that will fit a 72?

How has everyone else delt with this?

    Thanks

No reproduction tanks available for the early models. You can purchase a new reproduction tank for 76-77 models. It requires a few other things you must change..... do a search in the forum, pretty sure there is a thread on the subject.
Have you thought about using POR-15 fuel tank sealer on your tank?

They have great products IMO. (y)

You can also remove your tank and take it to a radiator shop for a cleaning/sealing.

F30 at Rock Auto is $105.89 plus shipping A.A. is $180.99. But, I've done this - Go to Advance Auto and they should match Rock Auto and w/o shipping cost OR $105.89 plus tax only. Make sure you print out Rock Autos price and take it to A.A.

Other Note: Rock Auto sometimes has 5% discount code online. Do a search.
A.A. has lots of coupon codes online also.

What mods are needed to make the F-30 tank fit?

    Thanks

Longer bolts. If you do a search, you'll find it's been dissuaded hundreds of times.
