    G'day everyone, and thanks for welcoming me onto your site.

    I joined to find out some more information on the Ford Maverick.

    My father in law is headed to the states in august and is hoping to find a decent 70 -71 Maverick to bring back to Australia.:thumbs2:

    There are not many here and from the research we have done already, we're just a bit excited. We love the look and the shape, and the various engine options.

    So i hope you dont mind the few dumb questions here and there we'll be putting out there.

    I have a mate in Newcastle. He rented a 1/3 share inside a container and had a Piper Arrow IV shipped from the states. It was really quite reasonable in costs. Much cheaper to buy one here and have it shipped over.

    You will find lots of info stored here on the forum - and we are always happy to answer questions ............. :)

    I just enjoyed a few weeks in Australia.

    What part of the U.S. your father-in-law headed to? Surely there are a few who will be willing to help him out while he is here. Mavericks are a passion.
