Hi guys, I have already been welcomed but i figured i would post here again because i have a question that may be kind of a new comer thing.

I am going to be putting a 302 and a T5 in my 1970 Mav. I have read a lot of the articles. So many and numerous times it kind of has my head spinning.

It is my understanding that the 1970 did not have a v8 option so it does not have the right mounts for a 302. are the v8 mounts something i need to find from a v8 maverick or is it something that is still available from a parts store? If someone could help me and point me in the direction of exactly what i need that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this all seems dumb.

You need the FRAME MOUNTS from a Maverick. You can get them used or you can get them new from places like Auto Krafters.

You also need the rubber MOTOR MOUNTS. Those you can get at the auto parts store.

Just checked with my local NAPA, they show the V8 Maverick motor mount as "Obsolete". Can't get them there anymore.
