I was wanting to know what you have ran for a oil filter, I have tried a 90 degree oil filter elbow from an explorer but it sticks out to far from the block and hits the header. Should I buy a remote oil filter kit or is there an easier and cheaper solution to this.

Check Ford Motorsports, or there is a factory Ford one that works, used on older vans. Can't remember the number though. Got one on the 460

I have the Ford Racing M-6880-A50 it's a quailty piece and worked great. I did have to add a small dimple in the #5 tube though.

    crites #5 and oil filter

the 90 will not work unless you block off fuel pump location. between the crites #5 header, fuel pump and oil pan there are too many things in the way. 351w

We just mocked up my 351 and Crites headers last weekend. With the Ford racing 90 degree oil filter adaptor and stock mechanical fuel pump, we got a 3" diameter by 3 inch tall oil filter to fit with just a little room to spare. I am in search of a 3.5" by 3.5" filter which I think will fit. The adaptor is oriented down and toward the front of the car at about 45 degrees and does not hit the #5 tube. I also have a Canton T shaped oil pan to add to the fun.
