I learned that the hard way. Missed out on a good chainsaw once.

Now that's something I'll never buy on ebay, or used. Nothing more aggrevating than needing a chainsaw and having one that won't start or run.:16suspect

Go on racing junk .com,there are many roller rockers on there,I would try those stainless steel ones, you probably would never wear them out.A 7/16 stud is better because they don"t flex or stretch and your valves will stay in adjustment much longer.

E-Bay basically done me in on these, I had my bid ready for $5 over the amount the bids were at and when I hit the "one click bid" button it changed back to the amount I had bid as first bidder.....too little too late.
Went by and checked on the heads at the shop yesterday, should be ready today :yahoo:

Either buy the die cast Crane/Comp type rollers or step up to a name brand roller rocker.

This is an area there are a lot of "off shore" pieces that are not worth taking out of the box. We tried 6 different brands in claim type race motors and they all failed. 150# seat pressure so it wasn't a huge spring that killed them. If the company doesn't want to put their name on them, don't buy them. The EBAY stuff will come in a plain white box with some odd numbers and a name you've never heard of.

Stay away from any roller rocker under $200 as a rule of thumb. Also, stay away from used rockers unless you can inspect them and know what you are looking for. They have a lot of wear points.

You get what you pay for here.

Well, there are certain rare ones I look for on there. Running or not, in the right hands they bring a pretty penny when they are fixed up.

Still needing roller rockers, 1.6 ratio and 3/8 stud mount, been watching e-bay for a deal and not seeing anything I like, I will NOT get anything with the ProComp name on it, had bad experience with a dizzy and coil made by them already and am done with that brand, don't know anything about the ProForm brand but been eyeballing some of those, gotta do a little more research and figure out what I want without spending too much, a IHRA drag racing (well former drag racer I guess) friend of mine, Dave Pybus, has been giving me pointers on building my heads and engine, explained how to get piston to valve clearance when I get the heads on it, seems easy enough, he is just not a ford man lol, back in the day he said he would spot me half track on the 8th mile and still spank my 302 HiPo I had in my Maverick, never got to do that race, my 290 HP and his 1600+ HP '91 Pontiac Grand Prix Powered by Carbureted Gas 615 Chevrolet with 4 speed manual transmission... 1991 Records: 1/8 Mile: 4.705 ET, 154.32 MPH .... yeah I would have lost:cry:
