for the life of me I can not get my new (to me) fenders to adjust properly. I have too big a gap at my door, and i can not get the lip to sit flat enough to slide under the chrome at my windshield. this is my first time doing this and I feel like there is some trick I am missing. anyone want to help a body work noob out? please. the fenders are 1974 and the car is 1975 :hmmm:

It's amazing how some fenders fit some cars better than others do. Are you using any spacers on the inner fender lip? Most of the cars I have had, seemed to have spacers towards the cowl, to bring the back of the fender up.
