How is it attached??? I'm swapping my car to small bumpers and have the rear done. I've got everything but the front balance which I'm ordering a glass 1 from glasstek next week. Thing is I have no idea about the brackets or anything I just bolted the rear on after it looked in the correct spot
The valance bolts to the fenders in place of the fender extensions 74 and up cars have. There is also a small bracket that attaches from the valance to the frame rail on each side in front of the tire...
Awesome thank you,now does anyone have a pic of those brackets or a desciption? If not ill just make some after i put the valance on
I have one but its too big to load to the forum...Shoot me an e mail address and I can send the pic to you...
Maverick405@rocketmail.com , i cant send messages on here with my phone wont let me click the correct button for some reason
The little brackets are available NEW as repops from 3PG. The center grill/hood latch support is also different n a car with a front valence.
Can't tell from their picture... Is this that long thin piece of metal that sticks out from the valance or do these go somewhere else? http://www.periodperfectpartsgroup.com/catalog/i46.html About to install a valance and never had one before
Awesome thanks guys and I don't have to worry about the latch or support price its long gone cars had hood pins for years and had to notch the crap outta the piece to fit the efan I put on it in highschoolfrom the looks of those brackets ill just make em ive got alotta spare metal and am trying to get better at metal work even though they look very simple lol
Wow it looks so big in the picture lol. My valance only had one on it, and it looks alot skinnier. Maybe I should buy the new ones instead of fabbing one for the other side....
Good idea on making them. I'm doing the same thing...the originals are pretty flimsy feeling to me. Mine twisted up when I removed them due to the bolts in the valance being rusty.
