Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
right it is a tad more then that. what one doesn't realize since the stock spoiler sticks out and when you integrate the spoiler smoothly the back/bottom side angle totally need to be changed. not to mention if one wants to keep the trunk molding that needs to happen 100%. however i have already planned on that so we should be good to go.

however what i worry about it fitment. as you know stock maverick trunks already don't fit very well from the factory. the last 5 mavericks i have had including the two i have now all never fit right they rubbed or had other issues.

I am dealing with that right now. That trunk lid that came on my car actually fit like a glove. But I am not using that one as it had some rust. I got a perfect lid elsewhere. It fits, but nowhere near as good as the original. It is amazing to me the differences in the panels from one car to the next. Fords quality control was definitely not up to par in the 70's.

I wish you great success with your project. I may be in for one when the time comes that they are on the market. Looks like I will have to make sure and keep some extra paint on hand.

Well.......................guess I've been waiting for the lower cowl hood, so I can wait for the rear deck lid with built-in spoiler.
    Looks really good!

    Got any renderings?

Im having a hard time visualizing this.

So its going to be a complete decklid with a spoiler and end caps attached?... One solid piece where the end caps stick out and hug the quarters when the trunk is closed?

Looks great! I may just have to get this instead of a carbon spoiler! The one down side is my trunk fits perfectly as it is and I don't really wanna mess with it haha please please let me know when you start making those hood's again. Every time I see your car with that perfect hood I die a little inside knowing I can't have one yet! Haha

    No.....

It is a deck lid with spoiler as one unit. Then it would have matching bolt on end caps.

I like this idea a lot more than drilling large holes in stock trunk.
