Finishing up a two year new garage build this summer and getting ready for the next project. Been watching for a Cyclone or Torino but recently started taking a serious look at the Maverick. The more I look, the more I like....So please don't bash me for not owning one yet, I'm here to get convinced!

You're in the right place and it shouldn't take too much convincing.

No bashing here. I think it's great that you'd consider building a Maverick.

Welcome from Western Ky...and as far as being convinced:

    Like being unique?

    Tired of cookie cutter cars?

Want a car that, even though it's probably the only one at the car show/race track, everyone over 40 has either owned one, or knows someone who did?

Want a car that you can modify however you feel and not have to worry about getting flamed to the ground by purists?

Want something that you can drop a nice smallblock in and have a very favorable power to weight ratio?

If you answered yes to any or all of the questions above...then find you a nice Mav or Comet and do your thing brother!

Just be forewarned...aftermarket body parts aren't exactly plentiful for these little jewels lol! You're not gonna just pick up a catalog and order what you need and wait for the truck to arrive. It's not QUITE as difficult as picking up your classifieds section and looking for parts for the space shuttle...but it ain't far off :)

If you decide to take the leap of faith...bookmark this site and check in daily (or hourly, if you're like some of these guys!). This site will become a wealth of information...some great...some worth what you pay for it (y)

For the most part, you'll find the Mav/Comet guys a great bunch to be associated with!!!!

So come on in...the water's fine...
