I am getting ready to overhaul the brake system on my 72 I was looking at the brake tee on the rear end where does the large hose go when it goes up into the frame and what is it for?

It's a vent hose. To keep pressure from blowing oil past the seals. It just tucks into the frame, to keep dirt out.
