1974 mercury coment with 4 speed speedo meter questions

    Hi started building a mecury coment 2dr 302 car and I put a t10 ford 4 sp top loader in it and when hook up the speedo cable it way to short so just wanted know where u guys get the longer cables out of when put 4 sp in this car a granda or 2 wheel f150 or something I also want how.
    teeth gear I need and where to get one

    Need to know if it is a T-10 or Toploader...Two different transmissions made by two different companies. I used a mid 80's Mustang cable on my Falcon

    The toploader's speedometer connects to the passenger side so a 70 Mustang cable will work. Thats what I have in mine. A T10 has a side cover, a toploader has the cover on top.

    Its toploader I don't know why I said t10 hey also have you ever try run a hrydrulic cluth with exetenal slave cylinder i know have diffrent bellhousing off newer car or truck would they bolt up to my 4 sp or would I build bracket for the slave cylider mount on my car to run with stock bellhousing
