Hi, everyone. I have a 1971 ford maverick sedan that was once my dad( it was my dads' first car ever). it in pretty rough shape I'm really trying to fix it up. so far i have installed a 1st gen mustang gas tank, because the original one rusted out; and refreshed the heads, and gave the engine a nice paint job. (The photos was before I started working on the car)
That's very cool. I hope you stick with it to completion. Arizona cars tend to have very little rust, so that is in your favor.
from Atlantic Canada! And between you and me, it doesn't look rough at all! If you want to see rough, come visit Atlantic Canada and look at 5-year-old cars!! Actually it looks to be in better shape (rust-wise) than the car I was driving over 10 years ago. Keep an eye on the drivers side fender fitment and suspension...it looks like it had a fender bender on the LF at some point (the LF rad support area is crinkled). Very cool project!
From San Jose. Great to see a young guy building an older car, good luck and don't forget to ask for help as there are some very knowledgeable people on this site. I also built my first at 15...............over 50 years ago.
