no c4 in the entire world has ever not leaked ATF. everywhere. NONE! there, now I feel better. let the rebuking begin.
There is a youtube video describing how to stop those leaks. Supposedly, it was a Ford bad design, which did not let the seals in the shifter seal all the way.
Hmmm. Can't find it now. There was a blueprint drawing showing that the bolt/shaft was too long, and if you shaved some material off some place or another, when you put it all back together, it was leak proof. But you have to pull the valve body out, pull out the shaft, and do some actual machining to it to make the o-ring and/or seal fit where it is supposed to. If anyone finds this fix, please post it up here. I would love to do the fix on mine, and stop the only leak on my car...
My 75 set up for over thirty years. I have driven it for more than 300 miles since I got it running. The transmission does not leak. The PS is a different story.
