What could be wrong?

    if you forced the trans onto the converter you junked out the front pump.

    you need to replace the pump.

    next time you install the converter you need to spin the converter at the same time pushing the converter back into the pump.

    the converter should snap in ( 3 ) times and will be set back in the bellhousing about 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch

    replaced the front pump and seal seal, yep trashed them. #*$^@!&?^ (shoot)
    goes back in Sunday. I thank everybody for there help

    If you are going to be putting it in from underneath the car make a couple studs to aid in installation, find some bolts the same size thread and a little longer and cut the heads off and use them for alignment tools. Make sure that you do not tip the transmission downhill at the front so converter will stay in place.

    Some help would be a great idea.

    I pulled the engine and tranny together, repaired tranny and assembled on the ground. will drop engine/tranny in tomorrow. Headed to Denali National Park for the day.
