2 years and around $4k later, the motor is finally ready to go in:clap:! Here are some of the goodies:

    302 (+.040)= 308
    High volume oil pump
    Forged pistons
    H-beam con rods
    Forged crank
    Victor Jr. H2O pump
    Double-Roller timing chain
    110 gph Holley fuel pump
Comp Cams X-treme Energy cam (512 lift/280 duration)
    AFR 165's
    Extruded Aluminum roller rockers
    Chromoly 1-piece pushrods
    Weiand Stealth intake
    Speed Demon 575 carb
MSD Pro-billet distributor and 6AL ignition
    Patriot headers
Fel-Pro gaskets and ARP fasteners used throughout

I'm pretty much the only gearhead in my family and nobody really appreciates what I'm doing. So, I just gotta tell somebody! If anyone has anything they would like to share regarding their swap that came up unexpectedly that I should look out for, please do so.

Thanks a ton for everyone's help thus far on this project. Your advice, counsel, and parts for sale have made this long-time goal a possibility:bananaman .

Sounds like an engine that should haul ass. I like a person who can follow a plan. I too am the only gearhead in my family. They all think I'm nuts. They are right.
