A factory sunroof would be cool. My guess is this was just a "spec" car that was never actully built. Just an "idea" that never happened.
The roofline is ugly to me, never liked the T-Birds either. The thing I do like is the Torino GT rims! They look good on a Maverick!
I am grabbing this photo so that it can be scrutinized beyond the life of the eBay listing. I can tell from this photo that the sunroof installation was by ASC or American Sunroof Corp. They did most all of the Ford-Lincoln-Mercury sunroof conversions back in the day. One of the switches to the right of the radio is typical of many sunroof controls. There is a second switch there too, was that for a power antenna? Does the consolette look different than what we normally see in production cars? I am not seeing the button for the storage box on this one. It also has what looks like a leather wrapped rimblow steering wheel.
they might have made it. I thought I saw that center console thing on craigslist recently for like $900 or something did the mavericks ever come with such a console on standard known production cars?

Wow that second one sure is ugly! It looks like they used sport mirrors for tail lights. And to predfan, surely everyone knows that Canada is a very "squatchy" area! LOL
