I have a 1973 Mercury Comet and am trying to make it manual steering. I have a manual center link already. It appears that I need a different pitman arm. The one I need I think doesn't have any greaseable parts. Any ideas?
If you have power steering currently on the vehicle and converting it to manual, you may need more than a pitman arm. I've replaced everything else also. But it looks like #3590 is my missing component. I've got the idler, center link, tie rod ends but still have power steering pitman. Looks like the center link goes on a different way.
Hey post a pic of what you need, I just replaced everything in my steering but some parts were fine, maybe what you need I have in good shape. pics would eliminate any confusion. for me anyways.
