Im not sure I have this in the correct section or not but here it goes. I have a fresh 1966 289 for the wifes Maverick. Its a mild build with stock beamed and polished rods with ARP rod bolts, .030 bore, std/std on the crank, mild bowl clean up with port match on the stock 66 289 heads, Comp 268H cam that was bought as a K-kit. My question is about the intake. I have a Performer 289 and a Performer RPM. What manifold works best on these engines with this cam and a 2200-2600 stall converter? Gearing is up in the air at the moment but Im leaning to a 3.70-3.90 ratio. I'll use some small long tube headers but I would like to know what ones fit nice as that can change from brand to brand. Keep in mind that I am using this in the wifes car and she will be driving it allot in the spring/summer with the occasional trip down the 1/4 mile. I haven't done many SBF's most of the fords I have had that I hot rodded were 460's poked and stroked to 514 but I have not intention of dropping one of those in her car. Though I may add a sneaker top shot to it for when I run it down the 1/4. Thanks

Both intake manifolds perform the same until you reach 5000 RPM, at which time the Performer RPM has the advantage.

RPM, Stealth or Ford's A321 (aka the Cobra high rise, Edelbrock F4B, C9OX) As Larry said there's no difference in the bottom rpms, the net gain is in the upper rpms. Just don't over carb it, a 570-600 cfm Holley works great.

Thanks for the input, looks like I'll go with the RPM since it sound like the better choice of what I have. I have been told by my friends that the stealth is the best choice but its not what I have.

I didn't realize you already had the intakes. Definitely the RPM.

There's not 5 hp worth of difference between the Stealth, RPM and the other intakes I listed.
