So my 73 drivers side window will not roll up or down. Well it's currently rolled up so at least I know it won't go down. I feel like the crank is gonna break before it moves when I try to roll it down. In the door panel I found this plastic piece, broken I might add. Not sure if it is part of the assembly, pictures posted... If it is does anyone know how to replace it and where I can find one? Thanks!

That is a window rivit that holds you window to the regulator. It does not look broken. Might be an extra one...might be that your's fell off, which is why you are having a hard time rolling the window up and down. Look and make sure you still have two of these holding the window to the regulator.

Sounds like you already took your interior door panel off - did you see anything that was preventing you window from operating? :)

Kind of sucks for toll booths, but look at the bright side - you are prepared for torrential down pours. Hope it's remedied soon!

Haha @ ponyexpress and I have taken my door panel off however I can't see much if the mechanism through the spaces in the door. I can't see anything preventing it from rolling down. And the piece is definitely broken, I failed to post the other pics that hopefully are working now ;)

The spot where that piece goes will be close to the bottom of the window, there should be 2 of them (well one now) maybe if you put one hand on the outside of the window and the other hand on the inside and sandwich the window and push down and have a friend try to roll down the window you may be able to see it better. Hopefully you wont be stuck with the window down then.

    Good luck
