well i have been a member for...one year and a day and i dont think i have really shown pictures of my maverick yet so i think it should be time. ive been working on this project for a little over a year now.

its a 73 grabber. garage find, sat for 15 years. my first rebuild. me and my pa built a Flathead a couple years back so i wanted to try again but on my own. i got a grabber because it was my dads first car..a little inspiration :) i almost got it running, (working on that oil pressure) ill get some more pics of it, most of them are when i bought it.

'Nice car. I'm partial to '73s myself. Those bumper guards have got to go though.

Nice car, I hope you get the oil pressure issue figured out. I am also partial to the 73 Grabbers, I have one also we are restoring now.

Well i thought i had a 289:huh: the guy i bought it from said it had the stock tranny and a 289 our of a stang. but when i pulled the motor and checked the codes it was a 74 302 and the tranny is a 1965 c4. too late to change my username haha.

the bumpers are god awful, im looking at switching out the the first gen bumper sometime. there is a ford junkyard not to far away with a lot of mavericks, hopefully he has a older bumper in good shape

Nothing wrong with that 302, good year block to have, I hear ya about the bumpers, I don't really have a problem with the big bumper cars as I have had a few of them over the years, looking back I think I screwed up letting my Blue Grabber go after the wreck, should have kept it just for the motor.

    73 Grabber,
    Nice!

Wish I could post pics of my 73 Grabber but it's been in the body shop for a year! He did warn me that he only does restoration work on the side when he has no insurance claims to work on.

Those bumpers are fine. Just get rid of the gaudy guards and plug the holes with chrome bumper-bolts.
