Good thread - reminded me that I needed to get an inertia switch for myself. Found this on Ebay last night for under 10 bucks shipped - included plug and bracket.

    From a Ford Windstar :thumbs2:

If it sits a couple of days it's hard to start. The choke does work.the coil is a msd blaster2 with a msd distributor.

fuel pump isn't the problem, and a holley should not go empty if it sits for a while, and should start without a choke easily, next time you go to start it, pull the air cleaner off and see if the accelerator pump is working, then you will know if the bowl is empty.

i would see if after sitting a couple of days if the accelerator pump squirts when you move the throttle.
pull off the air cleaner and open the choke blade and look down the venturies. move the throttle and see if gas squirts out of the squirters. if it doesnt squirt, pump it a few more times. if it doesnt squirt then some how the carb is draining its fuel or the fuel is boiling off.

For street use, a Mr Gasket 22S will fill the need for a slightly modded or stock engine. They are quieter than the Holley style. I ran one for four years without a problem, was still going strong when I got rid of the car.

Make sure to run a regulator on an elec. pump,5to 7psi is all you want on the street, otherwise you will mess up the carb. & it will flood.

Is it required to run a bypass back to the fuel tank? I know some don't like to deadhead the line at the carb
