You're not kiddin, I took the fronts apart and every thing was original but in great shape. I put new shoes on it anyway and cleaned the drums and put everything back together. I got to the rear brakes today because I'm going to take the 3.55s out of the pinto(4.62s going back in pinto) and stab that in the comet. I will put new shoes on them, and one of the automatic adjusting cables came loose and was rubbing the drum. It almost wore in two. But I was surprised by the absence of leaking wheel cylinders, cracked boots, etc. Thanks for everyones support and welcoming comments.
Im late in saying this, but welcome to the perfect maverick and comet Board. I live in Northern KY now but was home grown In Ohio.
