i was doing the junk yard routine, when a security told me where i could find a maverick on the side of the street. I live in Tijuana, addresses around here are not like in the US, it took me 2 days and a six pack of beers to get to these place. to my surprise i found not 1 but 3 mav's! long story short: all the cars are fully functional, the owner wont sell nothing. the bright side is that now i have some one to ask to!
Well, after all these years, it looks like you found a Mexican Shelby Maverick...they've just been a legand...but you've finally found one.
my cell phone battery died, but the engine and sound in that blue mav are like no other. ill post video tomorrow.
I live 2-3 blocks from this guy (north of his house new house dev) and has TONS of old 30's-40's-50's cars. The bastard wont sell anything nor let me look... https://maps.google.com/?ll=47.674624,-117.156965&spn=0.000384,0.00066&t=h&z=21 Here is is other property next door https://maps.google.com/?ll=47.674652,-117.156081&spn=0.000384,0.00066&t=h&z=21 Such a tease

owning a Mav, makes me feel like i picked up a trade you know, like a carpenter or a sculptor. if i find people a long the way trying to accomplish something similar, i will go out of my way and try to help them. in my hometown Ensenada, mx. there is a guy who sells fruit on the street, he has a Maverick, so when i upgraded my manifold and carb, i gave him my originals, he was really impressed and thank full, so now every time i visit Ensenada, i stop by and he has tons of tips and ideas.
You're taking the wrong approach; you need to work on building a rapport with him if you visualize any cooperation to meet your desires... Yes, it can be serious work.
