Does anyone here, with a cage / race car have a quick release steering hub on the stock shaft ? I think the Grant 3002 or 3025 will work, they are listed for 84-up Mustangs, but looks like they will fit ours as well. I guess the actual question here is, Is the thread on the end of the shaft the same as the Mustang's ? The other option is weld on, but I would rather use a bolt on in case it ever has to be replaced.
    Thanks.

I've used a lot of quick release hubs with my stock cars but they are the type that has the male end welded to a 3.4 inch steering shaft and the female part bolted to a racing wheel - can't see that working with a stock anything :)

Here's the one I want to use. Slide the splined male onto the stock splines, secure it with the stock nut, hub fits over that. Should work as long as the splines on the stock shaft are the same.
