So....I'm not sure if someone done this mod before I got the tranny I bought it used a long time ago but I guess reading thread #4 SEPARATOR PLATE GASKET MODIFICATIONS: I guess it would be ok to just discard that piece and put it back together with out? or am I wrong without the pics of where hes saying you make them holes I have no ideal where hes saying the mystery piece(restrictor I guess is what hes calling it) goes.
I know pictures are worth a thousand words, but the section following "Seperator Plate Gasket Modifications" in Post #4 tells you where the Restrictor goes... I don't think I would leave it out. Someone in another forum mentioned the following:
UPDATE: So, found out the mystery piece is a piece that comes with a Trans go shift kit so someone has been through this valve body before and further research shows it wasn't installed the right way either lots of stuff( check valves, check balls, springs check balls not replaced where springs was removed) missing and not put back right,, so my question now is I have a c5 valve body would the valves and springs etc.. be the same to swap into my c4 where everything is missing? I just want to get it back to stock configuration I know I'll probably need a new valve halve separator they drilled the holes to big..
Hey guys, I'm wanting to put this valve body back to stock specs, how many check balls is there and where are there stock locations? I been looking but all I can find is pics showing me check ball locations for shift kits.
