Find a later model Maverick 5 lug rear end. That would be easiest.

You can run a rear end out of a 67-68 Mustang too. It's a little wider but would work out better if you were to add wheels that have to offset of newer Mustang wheels.

Granada or Monarch 8 inch rears also bolt right in.

I have a 9" out of a Lincoln Versailles. I believe it is the same as a Granada or Monarch.

Remember to look under every Granada or Monarch you find because Ford was never consistent with what combo they would put a 9 inch in - V8 - 6 cyl - 4 door - 2 door - could be under anything - also mine came stock with disc brakes - now Lincoln Versailles, which is also based on the Granada platform, were all 9 inch rears and all were disc brakes :)

And also remember that some of the 9's had drum brakes, not all had discs.

Exactly, I should have been clearer - the 9 inch rears that came under the Granada/Monarch could be either drum or disc brakes - all of the 9 inch rears under the Lincoln Versailles were disc :yup:
