If it were me, I would cut a few inches below the flange along the firewall and under the top door hinges, then cut through the A-pillars a few inches above the bottom of the windshield. This will give the person who ends up using the donor cowl enough to ensure the complete lower cowl panel is intact and that they are able to properly plug-weld the thing into place.

And yes, 2dr and 4dr cowls are the same.

AND...no matter how much the buyer begs and pleads for you to cut the thing in half to save on shipping....DON'T!!! :rofl2:

Here is how Craig cut mine. He left me lots to work with.

That's exactly what I had planned on doing have a Falcon one I cut off the same way. Fortunately my Maverick is rust free and does not need cowl surgery!

You cannot have enough Cowls!!! Same with rear quarters (any piece of it). They're nice to have plenty of extras and people are always looking for replace pieces. Especially quarters, and lower sections of the cowl vent rings.

    Hoard them!

    KEEP THE MAVS LIVING!

You kept the one off of the 16k mile 4 door we cut up into tiny pieces right :)
