Anybody use one of these and have pics and fitment comments? http://www.cjponyparts.com/spoiler-front-black-1970/p/FS4B/
I don't think that will fit. It must be yhe Shelby version to fit correctly. Craig has a great thread about his.
I know about the 69/70 Shelby spoiler, but I can't find it in the ABS plastic. Also, I want more angle in the spoiler if I can get it. I am pretty sure the 1969 standard mustang and 69/70 Shelby spoilers were designed to use the existing valance mount points for location and the 1970 standard mounts 4 inches up on the valance and all holes must be drilled in the valance. So it can be tweaked for angle but would need to fit WRT curvature.
I believe the spoiler is way to wide for our valances. I ran into one that was for sale and it was not even close. Spoilers by Randy has some that look good and are a direct fit plus they are made of metal. I do understand why you would want the ABS plastic though. Some flexibilty would be some nice assurance if you ever happened to run up on something.
That looks really good. I have a modified Pinto spoiler on mine and I'm afraid it hangs too low. Still debating whether to use it or not.
I bought the steel spoiler that a guy on the forum here sells, spoilersbyrandy . Nice piece, nice black paint job, hardware, nice construction, fit well. Here's the thread on them: http://maverick.to/mmb/showthread.php?t=93184&highlight=spoilersbyrandy
I can't say anything about fit on a Maverick, but the quality was pretty decent. The one on my 70 Mustang came from CJ's. - Matt
BUMP - I read that joedirt used one with a '73 valance. Still looking for feedback with a '70-72 valance. Thanx
