I would like to know if anyone has any info on a 2005 crown vic engine and tranny swap to a 1971 ford maverick, i have a wrecked 2005 crown vic and would like to put the modern stuuf from the vic into the maverick, the swapping of the engine and tranny shouldnt be a problem, its the electrical and fuel injection, computer, along with fuel pump that is throwing me off before i start on this. any ideas?

That's going to be quite the project, but it can be done..... You are going to have to do a R&C front suspension conversion of something to remove the towers for that engine to fit..... You would probably also have to make some trans tunnel mods to get it to fit.....

Do you know of anyone that has done this? My main concern is the computer and fuel injection system. like the fuel tank with the fuel pump in it. And all the rewiring, ive called some people that does wiring harnesses for the old mustangs to newer model cars, but thay havent done a maverick, or a newer crown vic yet

If you can find a stand alone harness it won't care what car it goes into. As far as the fuel system there are a few here that have made the move to aftermarket Mustang tanks that are set up for fuel injection and you should be able to do the same.

First, do this, along with trans tunnel mods, then it will fit. Second, spend a few months on wiring and fuel system upgrades and you're almost there...
