Geez all the parts probably just went up in value! http://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-collectible-classic-muscle-cars-you-can-afford-003436577.html
im actually looking for a decent 70-71 torino GT for the pops if theyre cheap they always seem to be the formal/falcon style roof!
ugly as they are.. that little car will easily smoke a stock V8 Maverick. And once the wick has been turned up with more boost and a few hotrodders tricks?.. it's an easy 13 second car. I know there were some street racers who even dipped into the 12's running stupid boost on bone stock bottom ends too. Slicks required of course. Actually.. now that I look more closely.. the Maverick is about the slowest car listed here.
Number 2, the 73 GTO. I have always liked them but they are nearly impossible to find. There is a 74 LeMans in town with a numbers matching 400 4 speed combo that I have wanted. It's rusty though and sheet metal for these is tough to come by as well.
I would like to add any late 60's Mercury Cougar to the list. I see them anywhere from 4-15,000 in good working order. for example: http://pueblo.craigslist.org/cto/4311362789.html or http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4261393474.html Or how about a restored XR7 for under 20,000 http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4311757910.html and finally my favorite http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4291108899.html
